My niece just moved here three days prior to our summit trek. She reached her first summit and I look forward to more adventures together this season. The forecast called for gusts of wind. The drive down was full of sand storms and things flying across the freeway but once we arrived at the trailhead it was calm. The summit was a bit windy so we didn't stay long.

We only saw two others on the trail and had it all to ourselves. Was a beautiful and peaceful day. We finished with cookies from the candy store at the base of the mountain and then In-N-Out & burgers on the way home.
