Woke up early and decided to tackle this hike before the heat of the day (that first unshaded stretch can be a doozy when it's hot!)  First to the trailhead on a Saturday morning, I enjoyed a quiet walk to the summit. As I enjoyed my PB&J sandwich a few other hikers started to trickle in.

By the time I was back down to my car at ~9:30 am the main parking area was already full – this is definitely one to do early on a weekend!

Some manzanita branches are extending over the trail in spots, so if that bothers you I recommend long pants. I was in shorts and came home with some light scratches.
