The Return To Mount Umunhum

The last time I hiked Mount Umunhum it was with my son’s boy’s scout troop over 5 years ago.  Today I got to hike with my son who is now an eagle scout and he is going to be 20 soon.  I was concerned that I was not able to keep up but I did.  not bad for an old guy.

We started our hike at about 7:20am.  There was plenty of parking at this time even with a trail running event going on.    The trail was busy with hikers, trail runners and bikers, but it was fun to see people enjoying the morning.   We made it to the summit and we spent about 30 minutes taking in the views and having a quick snack.   We completed the hike at 11:00 am.

This was a great first hick to get the challenge started.  1 peak down 5 more to go and looking forward to it and maybe seeing some of you out on the trail.
