Our first peak for this year and in all its June gloom glory. In actuality, it was really pleasant and nice, hiking with clouds and bits of rain, no worries about the sun. The path from Sierra Madre is beautiful and we were joined by over 100+ trail runners that morning which made it all the more fun as we all cheered each other on. The trail is very easy to find and follow, mostly an easy gradual up and a very easy gradual back down. I hiked this with my friend, Anna, who I’m also training for a marathon with and this served as our cross training for the week. Very glad to have completed this hike, and a stop at cosmic cafe for some hot chocolate and a walking taco was pure bliss. Overall, it took us 7.5 hours including our lunch break.
