Mount Saint Helena, our last in our series of six-pack Peaks was a really enjoyable hike! As I live in south bay and the hike is near Calistoga, we girls decided to book a room in a small motel ten minutes from the trailhead. Best decision ever! We had dinner in Napa as Osha Thai, awesome food by the way, and had a good night's rest prior to the hike.

We started the hike bright and early at 6am. The initial part of the hike is shaded with many switch-backs. The you hit the fire road and work yourself up to the summit on the fire road. That 1st mile had rocks to climb over and got us in a sweat but the rest of the hike was a beautiful hike with gorgeous views of the valley after the clouds lifted. Else the clouds looked like water and the majestic mountains popping up from under them looked like islands…all in all great views. I had carried my jet boil and made chai at the summit. On the way back, we decided to hit South Peak just for fun. We celebrated completing our six-pack peaks looking down at the gorgeous valley!
