It was a misty/light rain drive in on the 210 fwy at 5amish and the calm beating my heart with anticipation for the beauty awaiting me. I was super excited because I didn’t think the snow would allow me there until July, but conditions changed and I was ready. Right before I was making the right into the trail head street and lot a BLACK BEAR meandered into the road right in front of me(finally a bear sighting) and I could not believe it, but could🤭 Before I could get my phone up it was gone into a yard. It was a beautiful hike! I met some new friends and a super nice woman named Maggie that grew up and lives in the the city I was raised in(Compton)! Small world💓 So Maggie if you read this Hollah at a brotha I’ve got a couple pics for you. There were a few small patches of snow closer to the summit, but nothing special needed to cross. This was my 5th time here in 6 years and by far my fav!!
