We started at 5:30am at Manker Flat. Plenty of parking, in fact only saw 3 other people on the Baldy Bowl trail to the summit. Trail in perfect condition all the way to the summit, no snow, no issues. Quite the windy day, but it is Baldy! We submitted at 9:12am. We had the summit to ourselves, just two more other people were there. Unfortunately it was incredibly windy, so we decided to postpone our meal for later. We descended on Devil’s Backbone, absolutely gorgeous views, including the thick marine layer covering the entire LA basin. We started seeing more hikers, obviously people prefer to ascend on the Backbone trail. We had our meal at the top of the ski lift, and continued descent to the Baldy notch and then the Baldy toll road. We only saw some patches of snow, very isolated and not on the trail. Baldy is ready for hiking! We made it back to our car by 1pm. Happy day.
