Beautiful day to hike up Mt. San Antonio.  Only thing that that spoiled it was search and rescue were doing “training” on the mountain looking for that actor that disappeared during the winter, wasting a lot of money ferrying people to the peak all day.  Wish they would take that much effort searching for my friend that disappeared on Iron Mountain a few years ago, but she was just a regular person.

As for the hike itself.  Temps were supposed to be in the 40's at the peak.  But it was wind free and sunny up top.  Really didn't need much.  There was some snow, but you could easily traverse without any special equipment.  A few bugs, but not too bad, and mostly in the lower areas.  Trail was in great condition.  Well traveled, and no real washouts from all the rain.

There were some wildflowers blooming, but not as much as I've seen on other trails.  The waterfall at the beginning of the hike was going full steam.  It's a beautiful 3 level fall.  Also while going up the mountain, between the trailhead and ski hut, you could hear the stream going in the gulch below, with some minor falls.

On the way down, went down Devils Backbone to the Notch.  Trail was great in that direction also.  A few snow drifts remain, but still easily passable without any special gear.

It was getting a bit warm around the noon hour on the hike down.  Saw that it was in the 80-90's in the flatlands, so the temps are warming up on the mountain.
