This was peak #4/6 and my personal favorite so far! The trail is gorgeous throughout. It’s amazing to be able to see such varied landscapes in the same hike. We started our hike at 6:30am ( finding our trail head was a bit confusing, we used the directions on All Trails and it took us further off) and it felt like I was hiking in a rainforest! After about 2-3 miles it opens into these beautiful brown rolling mountains…reminded me of a scene from the movie Gladiator. All along there were plants and foliage that I had never seen, the trail is lush greens and well covered except for a few miles of open dirt road. Even though this was a long and moderately hard hike, I didn’t feel it, I guess the beauty of the trail and the cool breeze kept me distracted :). The loop back had its own charm. Btw, there’s a wooden ladder on your way back. Overall, thankful for an amazing recommendation, a nice clear day, great company and last but not the least, grateful for nature itself!
Note: might want to make sure your legs are well covered, found a tick attached to my lower leg. Also, might want to consider washing/drying your hike clothes on high temp as soon as you get home just in case you get some on your clothes.
