Getting to the trailhead was tough because a popular navigation app routed me through some dirt bike roads. After backtracking to stay on 41N18, and crossing under the powerline I reached the trailhead. It was a little late — 9ish. But the climb felt easy because of the gentle grade, and rock hopping. Beautiful views of Mt Shasta. The final ascent into the “fort” is nerve racking and I wouldn’t recommend it for folks with a fear of heights. But the views are beyond compare.
