Mission Peak: uphill immediately

I arrived at noon, there were 6-7 open parking spots in the Stanford Ave lot. Sunny and warm but with a breeze coming off the bay. The fire road trail was in mostly good condition but the loose pebbles make for a slippery descent. The last half mile up to the peak is rough – full of deep ruts from the rains and one portion requires scrambling over some rocks surrounded by loose pebbles. Nothing of interest plant-wise except for a milkweed at the beginning.
