I've been hiking mostly solo for the last couple of years, but when I found out that I had friends nearby that I hadn't seen in 20 years, we decided to get together for a sunset hike.  It was so fun! We were able to summit and get back down to the bottom of the crater before the sun went down completely.  Although it was very windy at the top, the temperature was very comfortable the whole time.  We used our headlamps to follow the volcanic rock trail back to the car. It's not a trail you want to take your eyes off of, especially in the dark!
