Beautiful hike up Devil's Slide with a fast hiking friend who planned a day hike only.  Slowly hiked to Wellman's Divide where I met more friends who came up via the tram.  Solo hiked up to San Jacinto Peak then returned to Round Valley campsite to camp with the friends.  About 7 deer grazing near our campsite.  The trail was in good condition with small amounts of snow in areas at the peak only.  Hot conditions and the biting flies and mosquitos were very annoying.  Wish I'd brought better bug spray.  I took a long time getting to the peak as I hadn't hiked in weeks and the elevation was getting to me at first, but I acclimated.  Overall, this was an amazing short backpacking trip and the Round Valley camp sites were beautiful and serene.
