Tackled this hike solo today and it was perfect weather for the majority of it! It was overcast and there was a breeze, and when there was sun it wasn't blistering hot, though I somehow got sunburnt. Beautiful hike, but brutal! It was a 9 mile round trip and the last mile is straight up. My watch clocked it at 3,999 elevation gain! Very exposed during that last portion, scrambling and amazing ridging. required. Lots of wildlife, saw wild chickens, cows, deer, chipmunks, and lots of bugs. I was hoping to see mountain goats, but none this time around. Lots of trees on this hike, but no running water so make sure you bring some of your own!
