The Gaviota Experience

Beautiful weather for this hike/run! We did a counterclockwise loop to get better ocean views, however the trail was very overgrown starting around 1.25 miles in and continued to be overgrown in parts all the way up to the peak. If you enjoy single track, rocky climbs, and don’t mind trudging through tall grass that requires a lot of tick checks, then definitely go counterclockwise! It is a more exciting route. If you want more exposed, wide trail, go clockwise and come back the same way. Epic climb and was a blast!
