6 Adirondacks in a Week! Part 3- Long Road to Marcy

This was a big one, somehow I managed to knock out two peaks in one go with my longest hike yet.

On my route via the Van Hoevenberg Trailhead, I decided to shoehorn Phelps Mountain in as a side quest since it was on the way to Mount Marcy with only a 2 mile at on to the already 16 mile hike.

I started at 8:30am and spent the next near 11 hours hiking to two different peaks, ending at about 7:30pm.

This was certainly a new challenge for me and I’m super happy it was a sunny day, allowing me to traverse these trails with confidence. Quite a journey this one was, but I did it. Only two left!
