Snowfield Scramble
Also on this hike
It was a beautiful day to hike with clear visibility and ample sunlight. The first mile was relatively snowfree, with just one or two trails turned into creeks from the snowmelt. The next 3 miles to the peak were snowfields, which require microspikes and/or crampons. The last stretch had intermittent snow fields. The peak was snowfree and the views were awesome. The trail wasn’t visible through the snowfields hence the extra mileage. A fulfilling but tiring hike!
