Cold winds and clouds

Started the hike at 8 am. There were only three cars in the parking lot, and we ran into only 10 hikers the whole day. Hardly any smoke after the first mile.

First three miles are well marked and are easy to follow. Mile four is marked with rock piles and a stick to help you continue going the right direction. Mile five and six is a painful slog all the way up through loose rock and dirt. There was a cold wind that pushed against us the last mile and drove us from the summit after 10 minutes. The clouds kept blowing over the summit as well playing peekaboo with the view.
