I decided to try this hike in the afternoon, since I figured there would not be an issue getting parking. I started shortly after 1PM. It was 88 degrees at the trailhead. I was a little concerned since I don't do very well in the heat. It wasn't too bad in the shade at the bottom, but I was definitely sweating more than normal, and drinking a lot of water. At around 7K' it got a little cooler and there as a nice wind to keep it a little bit cooler. Somehow, I managed to break every personal record of this hike (4th time in the last couple years). I got to the top in a little over 2.5 hours and back down in 1.75 hours.
