South Sister

We hiked 3 miles into Morraine Lake Friday night to camp, and there was a little smoke in the air. By Saturday morning, we woke up to the most perfect conditions… super clear, cool breeze, and a few clouds.

The last two miles to the summit are steep and rocky, but what a great feeling when you get to the top and walk along the flat section to the summit views.

We started at 7 am, and saw about 20 hikers on the way up. On the way down though, there were lots more hikers on trail.
