This was the best hike this year. Beautiful waterfalls with streams you must cross (feet most likely will be wet) as you climb Falling Waters Trail. The trails were a little slippery in spots and a good challenge climb up. Once up you may see the snowy peaks in Vermont to the north. We had moments of 10 ft visibility and then able to see for 100s of miles. Weather changes quickly as far as rain and cloud ☁️ coverage. Traversing the three peaks was outstanding. Great views and more challenges. Coming down was the hardest down climb I have endured based on distance going down the Old Bridge Trail. Prior to the decent, we stopped and had cookies and coffee at the lodge camp house just before the trial. A nice break. They have food, water, bathrooms and beds. The decent was long and tough. Granite rock was fine but I partially tore my hamstring slipping down some orange rock that was slimey and slick. The total hike took us almost 6 hours with breaks or just under 5 without breaks. This is now my favorite hike in New England. Hike safely!
