With the cloud cover, we had ideal conditions for hiking. There were many trail runnings out doing training runs, but the trail is wide enough in most spots. At the top, the Cosmic Cafe offers a variety of pastries, ice cream and coffee or hot chocolate, which is nice before heading through the back parking lot to access the true summit, at Echo Point. To get to the point, you’ll pass by the two big observatory domes, which house their telescopes.
