Got to the mount pretty early. Lots of parking still available. It was a beautiful morning after a good rainstorm the night before. The first 3 miles up was a nice steady incline with well marked trails, then I got the first saddle and the hard stuff began. The trail was easy to lose, but fairly easy to pick back up. The trail was very rocky in some parts. The steepness increased too. Once you get passed the second saddle Humphrey's Peak was in sight. The last little part was easy when the final goal is in sight. Once at the top the scenery was amazing, 360 views! Hung out for a few minutes and then tried to see how fast I could get down. My legs felt really good and I made very good time. The parking lot was busting full when I returned to my truck. It pays to get there early. All in all a great hike.
