I was super nervous for the length and the elevation of this one, but this hike surprised me in so many ways. My body felt great pretty much the entire time. It was such a gradual incline that it didn’t feel too tough and there were many flat sections that offered a bit of a rest. I had read that it was just awful after the fires but I found it to be so beautiful with spectacular views. There were many friendly hikers and trail runners and it was nice seeing so many people out enjoying the mountain with us. Great and surprising day!
