Wow! Another great day on the trail with my friend Sierra and her 2-month-old baby Cash.
We began our day just before 8am and made it to the summit right around 1030am. The weather, early, was a little chilly and overcast. A sign that Fall is approaching. We did feel a few sporadic drops of rain throughout the day. The trail going up was straight forward and easy to follow, but just a little bit overgrown in places. I would definitely recommend long sleeves and long pant. We had the summit to ourselves and spent about 30 minutes taking pictures, enjoying the views, snacking and (of course) some tummy time for Cash.
Coming down was pretty easy, although due to some of the steep, scrambley portions of the trail, Sierra spent a good part of the descent doing butt slides while carrying Cash. Better safe than sorry, right!
Al in all, we managed just under 7 miles and 1520 feet in elevation gain. Peak 4 of the 6 Pack of Peaks Challenge complete.
