We tried to buy tickets to the first tram up ahead of doing this hike, but they were not offering them for sale I called and verified the time of the first tram and we arrived early to purchase tickets in person. The weather was beautiful and while there was not any snow at the top of the tram, I would say about 80% of the hike had snow. There are bathrooms at the tram station and also near the Round Valley campground. We took our time and wore microspikes for a good portion of the hike. We also heavily relied on a trail map since at times you could not see the trail due to the snow.
