Baldy has been a dream send so it was awesome to complete it, especially after only hiking part of it a few years ago. The ascent was so peaceful and beautiful. The sunrise lit up the foggy clouds pink and yellow and the moon was still up- it was beautiful. As we worked our way up, the wind gradually increased. At the peak the wind was memorable- whipping around- coldest summit yet just due to the wind lol. On the descent I could not stop laughing with the wind. There were a couple points where we had to just stop and stand because it was so powerful. Once we got into Devils backbone the wind settled and the warmth of the sun was perfect. It was so great to do the loop and take the road down below the brewery for the sake of our knees. Felt accomplished completing this one and taking the road down since that was the trail I had done previously. Also, the waterfall was so beautiful. Great hike. Would for sure do again.
