We parked in the neighborhood at the start of the trailhead. As always be mindful to the neighbors. We noticed quite a few trail runners doing their thing along with other hikers. It wasn't overly busy because it was cloudy with chance of rain. We enjoyed hiking in the clouds as it created a stunning atmosphere. When we eventually made it to the top it was really cold. We warmed up with some coffee and snacks and chatted with some other folks. As we started to head back down the trail it started raining. We didn't think it would actually rain so we left the rain gear in the car. We continued down the hill getting soaked because we didn't have any other option. About 3/4 of the way down it finally stopped raining and we eventually made it to the car. I must say the rain actually made the hike that much more enjoyable. We laughed about it and learned a lesson. Rain or shine Mount Wilson is fun.
