This was my longest hike in terms of miles so I feel very accomplished!

We parked near the fire station and the trail was easy to find from there. The first two miles were pretty killer! All Trails app was definitely needed because the trail signage stops at a certain point and there are some splits.

The bugs were everywhere and I definitely swallowed and inhaled a few. A bug net would have been useful on this one! Most of the trail was pretty exposed with some wooded parts here and there. We started a little before 8 and hiked for about 6 hours total.

Very cool views of the observatory from the top and it was cool to see the rangers up in the fire lookout!
