Mount Saint Helena (aka the Elevation-Gain Triangle: 5 miles up, 5 miles down)

Honestly, this hike was pretty boring compared to many others peaks in the Bay Area. Except for the first mile which winds through forested single-track, the rest of the route is boring fire road. And it’s literally 5 miles up, and then 5 miles down back the same route. The views at the top were beautiful, but the journey was was more effort than inspiration. I’m glad I bagged the peak, and it was a good work-out, though I wished for a bit more Mother Nature on this trail run.
