Oh’ you Old Grayback. Always a challenge and a humbling experience. Thank you for putting me back in my place when I get overconfident. You are always beautiful and rewarding.
Trail Condition: I did this hike in August so temps were still blazing, especially on the ridge and super exposed areas. It’s the usual, a super steep ascend and descend at the start and finish. The middle portion is an incline but more gradual than not until you hit the last 3 miles. The last 3 miles are a mission – but not impossible.
Still one of my favorite mountains.
