After completing Flatiron right before this, I knew my legs were in for another hearty challenge. The sun was definitely out but the foliage from the trail offers a lot of shade and great rest areas, all leading up to one of the most spectacular views within the Superstition region. Really enjoyed this view as the last peak / trail to complete my 6pack winter challenge! (completing bonus trails soon.)
Last time I completed this trail, I camped out solo by the Lone tree and enjoyed the most serene evening all to myself. It felt good to be back.
