This is my 4th trip to Sunrise Peak and I can finally say after 2+ years of hiking and challenging myself to improve, I don't hate it anymore! Haha. It is beautiful at sunrise and as it was a Tuesday morning, not too crowded. It's not as rocky as certain app reviewers claim, but it does get more steep the higher you go. However, the scree coming down is something to pay attention to. Currently there are 2 trees at the peak that are sporting holiday decorations. We also saw a bear (a bear-shaped rock on the opposite ridge)! 😉

A little toasty on the way back down (around 10am) but otherwise great views. Also windy at the viewpoint and at the top, but not too bad today. There is somewhat limited parking right at the TH but there is overflow parking a short jaunt down the street.

Felt amazing to do this hike again and recognize the gains I've made. Always down for a sunrise, sunset or a view.
