The trail was great at the first mile, about 1.5 miles it started to be slippery but doable, the last mile was very slippery, steep & dangerous going down. It seems that the trail had eroded and going down feels like an ice rink.
But the summit was magnificent, beautiful views in a clear Sunday afternoon. There were no clouds so one could see Catalina Island according to a fellow hiker I encounter at the summit.
The trails is well marked with the exception of the last two miles down. There was no way to tell which trail was going back to the candy store & I took the left instead of the right. This turn sent me two miles in the opposite direction.
Other than than, a beautiful trail and really worth it the steep climb to the summit.
