Those first two miles though…wow, those first two miles!!! Grueling is the only way I can describe it! Brutal!!! But after that the trail is quite easy, wooded and beautiful. It’s well maintained and clean. We only saw about 3 other hikers the whole time so very secluded. Weather was perfect! So fortunate to do a hike like this in December. Gotta love So-Cal! Once we reached the summit, wow! The view was absolutely breathtaking and phenomenal!! I was drooling mostly because of the view but partly cause of the wind haha! Cold up there but other than that less perfect temp all day. Those two beginning miles were killer on my knees on the way down will bring hiking sticks next time! Finished up with some delicious sandwiches from Dudley’s bakery on the way home. Perfect day!
