We started around 7am and the parking lot was packed. We opted to go the baldy bowl trail on the way up and devils backbone on the way down. The first third of the trail up was pretty snow free. But we really had to put our microspikes on at the ski hut. Then it was so pretty. There was fresh snow from the day prior and it was perfect hiking up. The peak was so windy we just snapped a few pics and hiked down devils backbone until we were out of the wind. It was kinda sketchy going down but we took our time. A lot of the trail was slushy and and then had deep pockets of snow so it was a little more difficult coming down.
