7 / 9 Peaks Done (2 left in Napa)
3 of us started Mount Sizer at 7:45 am and decided to do it Clockwise 🔁 loop as opposed to All Trails map to do it Anti-clock wise.
Pro-Tip: This will help with front loading the Elevation Gain in early part rather than doing the 1000+ Feet climb at the End, when you are getting tired.
It was a perfect day to do this hike, Temperature ranging from Low-40’s to Low-50’s from Morning to Day and Back to Low-40’s by evening.
Just for context: Last time we did this hike in Oct’22, when it was Mid-90’s during the day which added to the Challenge & also we did it “Out & Back” which meant we have to do 1000+ Elevation gain both times forming a Scary W. Learning from that experience, we tweaked year’s planning and decided to this in December.
We finished by 4:45 pm, as originally intended to making it before Sunset. 🌅 Glad that I was able to finish it this year in much better shape & form with throughly enjoying the hike.
