New Year new challenge

I was going to start the year and the challenge with an easy hike but the condition were perfect for El Cajon so decided to cross it off my list first. Lots of ups and downs in both directions, after the rain trail is in great condition. Parking lot was still closed at 6:40 am but parking along the street was just fine. I made it to the summit in a little over 2 hours. Took few minutes for breakfast,  few photos and was on the way back. Car to car almost 5 hours including few short breaks. I logged 11 miles.
