I won’t lie I was a little nervous for this one. Just last year in January of 2023 I fractured my ankle coming down Flat Iron. So this year I was able to conquer it with my boyfriend by my side. Love found on the trail and I am so happy. We went early and hiked into the fog. Couldn’t see in front or behind us at some points due to the fog. I didn’t mind missing out on the view since this hike had other meaning for me on my return from last year’s events. Plus the fog was quiet an experience on it’s own.

You will love this hike! Take your time. Watch the weather reports. And take plenty of water. Coming down we passed 4 young men(18-21 years old) who were so close to the top but ran out of water. We gave them water and all our snacks since we were coming down now. They were so happy. And that made us happy. The fog gave way as we hike out and  I truly hope they got the view because it was their first time there. 💕
