I hiked with my husband, Troy, and friend, Sarah, both are 2024 6 Pack of Peaks participants. We arrived at 6:40am to a full parking lot at Stanford Trailhead. Sarah arrived at 6:30 and scored a parking space! Troy and I parked on Vineyard which provided us with a small warmup to the trailhead. It was a crisp morning, but as we hiked along we were able to remove layers. At the top of Mission Peak it started to rain, and the hike down was very muddy and slick! We all slid a few times, and Sarah and I were thankful to have hiking polls and good traction hiking boots! Despite the rain, we had beautiful views, including a rainbow at the start of our hike, and a fun morning. We finished the hike in 3 hours and 5 minutes. We look forward to the next Peak!
