It rained the whole day and there was snow on the trail. Rain and snow made it difficult to walk, snow was slushy. Waterproof jackets and shoes did not help, everyone felt very cold. At the summit wind was very strong at 55-65mph. We had to brace down and walk a a group to withstand the power of mother nature.
It took me 5.45hrs to complete the hike without any breaks. Gradual incline going up.
The snow and rain significantly slowed us down. Recommend hiking poles, to navigate around snow and to avoid slip n fall.
It was a difficult hike but we got to enjoy the snow in Bay area!
