Wow, what a hike! Started at 7:45am and finished around 11:30. The first 1.5 miles was pretty easy but once you get to the saddle it’s game on. You have to go down very steep, slick, rocks with the aid of steel cables. You wrap around the backside of the mountain and start climbing again from there. There are several spots with cables to assist with the climb. As you get close to the summit there’s a vertical rock face to climb up which has cables on both sides. That was the most challenging part for me (especially going back down). I went down backwards but a few people went down forward. The views from the summit are really pretty. Definitely go early in the day to avoid bottlenecks at the narrow sections with the cables.
