Very long and a hard hike with 5200ft elevation gain. Enjoyed the ice cream at the Mt Diablo Summit visitor center after hiking in the sun. The last 4 miles were done after sunset, recommend bringing flashlight for slow hikers. Also download the map, there are many well marked trails and turns. Water is available at the visitor center.

Hello there… The full loop is around 15 miles and the extra two miles were added because we hiked the waterfall loop too. It was getting dark when we reached the first waterfall and had to hike back rest of the way after sunset. Started the hike around 8:30am and ended by 7:30ish.
