First time hiking Mission Peak and it will most likely be my last. We [my girlfriend and Doggo] arrived at 730am and there was no parking for blocks and blocks. Which is fine, it just means it adds some more steps/miles to your trip, right? No biggy.

Went to use a toilet and there was crap all over the seat. This caused me and another hiker to share a “people are shitty/this is why we can't have nice things” chat.

Finally started up the trail and I couldn't believe how many people were blasting their music while they hiked/jogged on the trail — I stopped counting after 4, in the first mile!

Super busy/convenient spot to hit up for a quick hike for the casual/tourist type, but otherwise, for those hoping for some “solitude” or to feel truly out in Nature, this isn't for us. Most visitors were pretty rude, self entitled, and just plain shit humans.

Glad to knock this one off the challenge so I can never have to do it again. This first impression was not a good one. The trail itself was not so challenging, it had great views at the top, but once you have experienced this once– it's enough.

Mission Peak is trash — change my mind. 🗑
