great weather, awesome organizer Alex (hikingOC), super hiking buddy (Frank, hikingOC) for my first long hike and first peak.  trail was in great conditions with little overgrowth and clearly marked trail signs  we took the bear ridge detour up and bear canyon trail down. last half mile or so was steep. wild flowers abound and 360 deg view at the top was awesome
