Chilly and windy due to early morning ascend with pockets of snow with minor frosts on trees and bridges. Wet & slippery pockets of icy snow melting with peaceful stream sounds in contrast with lots of burned trees from 2004 wild fire yet some blackened tread still standing upright. Lots of hilly ups with scattered boulders and streams needing attention while the path was quiet and deserted. Beautiful peaceful hike. Recommend extra water and good cardio shape to endure pockets of ascend. Worth every step with beautiful scenery.
