Trail started out easy. The last 1/2 mile to the summit was STEEP. The rains had washed out the trail making for more rocks and scrambling. But, as always, the summit and views did not disappoint. STRONGLY recommend poles coming off the summit. I had some and still slipped and landed on my butt. Also keep an eye out for snakes. We started our hike early and on the return found a snake warming itself with the morning sun in the middle of the trail. Had the person in front not paid attention she would have stepped right on top of it.
