Mount Diablo Easter Hike

Long but rewarding hike, great way to spend the day in the outdoors. From start to end, Mount Diablo in the early spring fails to disappoint. Not muddy, even though it rained about 2 days earlier. We added an Eagle Peak detour on the way down, which was nice, but most of the scenery had already been seen elsewhere on the trail, so it probably would have been fine to stick to the Mitchell Canyon access road. We took our time but kept a solid pace and finished in about 8 hours.
