Before heading to go hike to Hot springs mountain you must get permits from Los Coyotes Indian reservation at www.loscoyotestribe.org because that land is on reservation land, so please be respectful when visiting.
- Started the hike at 9am and saw wild turkeys at the very beginning. It was cloudy and cool pretty much the whole hike. The first 3miles was the most inclined/ elevation gained. The trail is a service road so it's nice and wide. No insects flying around, which was a plus. There were plenty of other hikers along the way also 4 trees were down on the trail but easy enough to get round. Reach the peak around 1230pm and had to climb up a ladder 🪜 and some straps to help you reach the peak. Had lunch and enjoyed the beautiful view. Spend almost 3 hours at the top, and soaked up the energy. Made it back down at 6pm. Hike 11 miles in 5 and a half hours moving time. Overall great hike!
