Trail conditions were great. They were volunteers maintaining the trail during the first 1-2 miles. Hot hike, started at 8 am and finished at almost 4 pm. Weather was clear. A lot of the trail is shaded. Going up was difficult for me as I'm not a supe experienced hiker, but coming back wasn't as bad. My feet started hurting at Orchard Camp in the way back down.
We saw a snake at the top around the observatory and tons of lizards on the way up.
Trail also had so many gnats (which were annoying) and a whole bunch of bees!! 🐝
